The History of AMI Mechanical, Inc.
In 2010, AMI Mechanical Inc. will celebrate its 20th year in business.

The roots of AMI Mechanical began in 1984 when Bill Caile, General Partner of 40/30 Holding Group, a Corporation that owned Trautman and Shreve, started Advantage Mechanical. Denis Miller was chosen for President of the Organization and Paula Wiley was hired shortly thereafter with an emphasis in Finance. In 1986 the Company obtained the services of Manuel Gonzales and his efforts were focused in Sales and Design. For several years the Company generated enough income to keep it viable, but in 1991 Trautman and Shreve was purchased by JWP and Advantage Mechanical ceased its operations.

In 1991, because of a desire to continue in the industry and with the encouragement of Ted Shreve and Bill Caile, the partnership of Paula Wiley, Manuel Gonzales and Kelly Officer started AMI Mechanical. The quality Advantage Mechanical employees, a growing list of clients and a good reputation were also contributing factors in the decision to move forward. In 1993 the partnership started AMI Mechanical Systems. This Organization was developed to focus on HVAC Service in the Metro Denver area and to compliment AMI Mechanical. The two Organizations benefited from many quality employees, most of whom are still with the Company today.

During the next four years as both Companies continued to have success. They expanded their focus to include Facilities Management. In 1998 with the introduction of AMI Mechanical South, the Company broadened its geographical focus to include Southern Colorado. To facilitate its continued growth, that year AMI Mechanical moved into their new facility in Thornton, Colorado. To enhance management in this period of growth, the Corporate Leadership Team was created. The Team included Managers from Business Development, Office and Accounting, Field and Project Management.

In 2002, the Companies diversified to include other business units including Program Management as well as other partnerships to help guide the Companies into the Government sector. In response to the Corporate Leadership Team, the three Companies merged to better synchronize its efforts and further enhance customer support.

As the Companies continue to expand into other markets their objectives are the same as when the Companies began operations; "Building Relationships and Delivering Value". The Organization is proud of its philosophy and continues to build around this simple goal. AMI Mechanical does what is right for its clients, enhancing performance and allowing each project to be a success!

The Organization would like to thank you for your support during its first twenty years. The commitment from employees, clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors and the professional community help make AMI Mechanical's success possible now and into the future.
